Drake Disses Kid Cudi and Pusha T In New Tracks
In celebration of his 30th birthday, Drake announced his next project, More Life via OVOSound. In addition, Drake debuted three new songs that will be part of his new project. One of which, caused a lot of commotion on social media.
The first song the rapper premiered included a few shots. Immediately after the song dropped, fans took to Twitter to reveal Drake’s target, Kid Cudi. If you recall, last month, Cudi called out Drake and Kanye West in a series of tweets promising that “the days of f*ckery are over.” He wrote, “I need ya’ll to know I got so many haters within the industry and these clowns know I’m bout to crush their entire existence. Everyone thinks they’re soooo great. Talking top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them.” Finally, adding, “My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These n*ggas don’t give a f*ck about me. And they ain’t f*ckin’ with me.”
The next day in Oakland, at a Summer Sixteen show, Drake also responded to Cudi’s comments. He said, “Boy you gettin’ way too high, you need to cud-it,” in his best O.T. Genasis’ voice.
However, it seems like that wasn’t all the Toronto rapper had to say about the Lonely Stoner. On his new “Two Birds, One Stone” track, Drake revisited the Cudi incident from a month prior, and delivered a few shots, even referring to Cudi’s 2009 album “Man on the Moon”:
“My numbers are out of the world, no wonder they got me feeling so alienated/You were the man on the moon, now you go through your phases/Life of the angry and famous/Rap like i know I’m the greats and give you the tropical flavors/Still never been on hiatus/You stay xan and perked up so when reality set in you don’t gotta face it.”
Normally, a good ole fashion rap beef would have hip-hop fans excited. But due to Cudi checking himself into rehab for depression and suicidal thoughts, fans were disappointed in Drake for kicking an already down Cudi, with a diss.
Drake also sent a few shots at Pusha T:
“But really it’s you with all the drug dealer stories that’s gotta stop though/You made a couple chops and now you think you Chapo/If you ask me though you ain’t lining in the trunk with kilos/You bagging weed with all your n*ggas watching Pacino”
After “Two Birds, One Stone,” Drake released “Sneakin'” feat. 21 Savage, produced by London on da Track and “Fake Love,” produced by Vinylz and Frank Dukes.
