In a letter issued to Congress on November 6, FBI Director James B. Comey says that the FBI will not be changing their decision regarding Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server. Comey says that the FBI has not found anything new in the newly leaked emails that would contradict their initial findings.
“The FBI investigative team has been working around the clock to process and review a larger volume of emails from a device obtained in connected with an unrelated criminal investigation,” said Comey. “During that process, we reviewed all of the communications that were to or from Hillary Clinton while she was Secretary of State. Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Secretary Clinton.”
James Comey sent an initial letter on October 28, after new emails were discovered. However, those emails don’t provide any further information that incriminates Clinton, therefore the FBI has decided not to pursue any charges.
We’ll be awaiting Donald Trump’s thoughts on the FBI’s findings.
